Lynx Dongle

My Lynx Dongle is not working.

  1. Make sure that your PIC is programmed with the proper firmware.
  2. If you have a PIC programmer, you can program it yourself with the latest firmware.
  3. If you do not have a programmer, find someone to help program your dongle PIC.

My Lynx Dongle is not getting detected by windows.

  1. Check all of your solder joints again.
  2. Do you have the FTDI Drivers installed?
  3. Try changing USB cables.
  4. There was one report of at least one bad FTDI USB module.

Vixen

Vixen is hanging when I run a sequence.

  • Make sure that the DMX option is unchecked under "Add-ins"

I am getting "Access to the port 'COMx' is denied".

  • Try changing the com port in windows.

My Wireless Transmitter and/or Receiver is not working

  1. Check all of your solder joints again.
  2. Check that your parts have been soldered in the correct orientation
  3. Check that your PIC is properly seated in the socket and in the correct orientation.
